Paul grew up in Gunnedah and completed his undergraduate Dental Degree from Sydney University in 1987. He then spent time working at Westmead Hospital, Royal Newcastle Hospital and the United Dental Hospital in Sydney, completing his Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons in 1992. Paul moved to Tamworth in January 1993 and commenced practice with Dr Bruce Stewart in Fitzroy St. In December 2006 the Practice moved to Darling St and was further renovated in 2012.

Paul has worked in all fields of Dentistry and pursued further Post Graduate education in both Orthodontics and Implant Dentistry. As the principal of Darling Dental he engages in all the different specialities of Dentistry, including particular interests in Preventative Dentistry, Oral Surgery and Orthodontics.

Away from work and family, Paul is kept busy being a charter member of the Rotary Sunrise Club, he is also both an examiner and mentor for candidates studying for membership of the FRACDS, a novice road cycler, a keen fan of cricket, and a Rugby referee for nearly 30 years, contributing to his undying passion for the game.

Having graduated from James Cook University in the sunny city of Cairns, Shivai is a dental professional driven by a passion for creating a positive impact through her work. She previously worked as a dental assistant in private practices in Sydney and gained invaluable experience as a dental student in both Queensland and the Northern Territory, spanning both public and private settings.

Shivai is passionate about serving the community and providing dental care to help people feel good and confident about their beautiful smiles. With a commitment to gentle care and a love for connecting with people, Shivai is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of her patients, ensuring they feel at ease.

Outside of the clinic, Shivai loves to travel and explore different cultures. When she’s not exploring the real world, she immerses herself in the world of books as an avid reader. Additionally, she possesses an adventurous palate, always on the lookout to try new and exciting foods.

Rob qualified from Leeds University in 1991, he bought his first practice in 1995. He sold up and moved to Australia in 2012 with his wife, 2 children, four dogs and a cat. Rob then owned 2 practices in the Brisbane area, now both sold and time for a move! He has completed two Masters degrees (Orthodontics, and Aesthetic/Restorative dentistry) and is currently studying for a Masters degree in Digital Dentistry, Rob has been involved in postgraduate teaching for many years and enjoys mentoring new graduate dentists.

Whilst comfortable providing all types of treatment Rob has spent more and more time rebuilding the mouths of patients with heavily damaged teeth combining orthodontics with implants, dentures and crown/bridges/veneers.

Rob loves the outdoors with his greatest love being fly fishing but will happily fish for anything!! Cooking, especially Indian food, is a passion and he loves spending time with his dogs (2 pointers, a chubby pug and a naughty Dachshund).

Cameron grew up in Brisbane before moving to Cairns to study at James Cook University. He gained invaluable experiences while working to improve the oral health in North Queensland and the Northern Territory as a student dentist.

Cameron is passionate about all facets of dentistry and is focussed on getting the best outcome for his patients. His easy-going nature and gentle approach to dentistry ensures a calm environment for all.

Outside of people’s mouths, Cameron loves to stay active stemming from his involvement in rowing and rugby union during his formative years. He is training to eventually become an ironman. Cameron also enjoys camping, hiking and exploring.

Having graduated from the University of Sydney, Jack is passionate about holistic, patient-centred care focussing on oral health and its effects on overall wellbeing. He strives to create a comfortable environment where patients feel heard and supported throughout their dental journey.

Outside of dentistry, he enjoys traveling and immersing himself in new cultures, hiking through scenic landscapes, and capturing moments through photography. His love for exploration and the outdoors inspires his commitment to lifelong learning and providing the best possible care for his patients.

Amanda grew up in Sydney and started her career as a dental assistant at Westmead Dental Hospital in 2006. She then decided to further her career and headed off to Newcastle University and studied to become a Dental Hygienist. After 3 years at University, Amanda was enjoying student life so much that she extended her course into Dental Therapy. With both degrees, Amanda is a qualified Oral Health Therapist. She enjoys being able to take care of all of our patients, especially the children while continuing the hygiene program at Darling Dental.

In her spare time, Amanda enjoys spending time with her wife, son, and their fur babies Koda and JoJo (if you haven’t already heard about them). She is also a keen traveller and enjoys being fit and healthy.

Mia has completed her Certificate III in Dental Assisting.

Martina has completed her Certificate III in Dental Assisting and is one of the friendly faces you may encounter at our reception.
